Yes, you did read that title correctly. Our best friend Karl Alzner participated in the optional skate today at Hersheypark Arena!
yayyyy!!!!
After suffering from a concussion in game one of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton series, Quick Question Karl has been sitting out for 13 games (I think that's right? 6 in the WBS series, 5 in Bruins, 2 in finals) and has finally taken part in an optional practice! Mind you, the other guys couldn't hit him so he is still recovering. duh. But it does put our minds at ease seeing Al out there. He's a really nice guy and a hard worker....well this video pretty much explains why we love him as a hockey player. And shows why Hershey could definitely use him in this series.
True that, E.J.
Yea um he's making the Caps next year.
*COUGH GEORGE BRUCE COUGH*
Excuse me.
So yea they aren't sure if he's returning for Game 3 of the finals this weekend but even if he doesn't, we're confident they will win the cup. Just being in the room with Al makes players better, faster, stronger. We love him a lot and he's kind of everyone's bff on any team he's on. Oh and if you clicked on the link to the dc sports blog post about him, here it is again, you read that he hasn't said the "F word" since 8th grade. That's pretty admirable. I tried doing that this year and I broke the rule within about 42 hours. Not even two days. So I'd like to give some props to Al for that.
Oh and although we wanted the Red Wings to suddenly choke and lose to the Hawks last series, WE HOPE THEY PULVERIZE THE PENGUINS.
Except let Malkin live.
We want him on our team. We really do. He's funny, he's russian and he scores.
And now him and Ovie are buddies so it's okay.
So yea in conclusion,
and
So yea in conclusion,
