Angel Locsin admits spending her birthday with Phil Younghusband in Hong Kong

Angel Locsin, the lead star of the fantaserye "Imortal" which aired its finale episode yesterday, has admitted that she spent her birthday in Hong Kong with Philippine Azkal's Phil Younghusband.

Angel Locsin revealed that the footballer, who reportedly wooing her, unexpectedly turned up during her 3-day trip in Hong Kong for her 26th birthday celebration - she was born on April 23, 1985.

Since Phil followed a day before Angel's arrival in Manila, the Kapamilya star and the popular footballer said to have spent only a day together with Angel's friend Bubble Praiso in Hong Kong. Phil reportedly gave the birthday girl a Givenchy bag! Whew!

Angel Locsin and Aga Muhlach's most-anticipated team up has finally come true through an upcoming movie titled "In The Name of Love".

Directed by Olivia Lamasan, the new movie of Angel and Aga is a romance drama and is set to premiere on May 11, 2011. It also features actor Jake Cuenca.

With "Huling Sayaw" as its working title, "In The Name of Love" is an offering of Star Cinema for its 18th anniversay. Some of its scenes were shot in Japan.

Phil Younghusband, Angel Locsin reschedule date

After Philippine Azkals' Phil Younghusband invited actress Angel Locsin for a date through Twitter which caused quite a stir, the two finally decided to do target shooting on February 13. However, they found out that the venue they had chosen closes during Sundays and so they postponed the date.

“Just to clear things, we didn’t go target shooting. We thought about it but we found out Saturday afternoon that the range closes on Sundays,” Angel tweeted.


Angel made the statement since eventologist Tim Yap and newscaster TJ Manotoc had a little Twitter 'argument' when TJ opposed Tim's tweet.

"Just learned that Phil Younghusband will be going out on a date with Angel Locsin tomorrow. They're gonna go target shooting. Hanep!" - tweeted by Tim on February 12.

TJ then posted a tweet a few moments after attacking Tim's post,

"sorry folks, I just checked w @PhilYHusband and as per him the shooting range date ain't true. hold ur horses!" TJ posted.

On February 13, TJ apologized to Tim and explained his tweet.

"Hey tweeps, I spoke to @iamtimyap and have apologized already, this is to apologize online as well. He is not wrong. He heard it from james. Meanwhile Phil denied it to me. So what can we do? Nothing :) let them have their peace as so they wish. Sometimes celebs admit to a few & deny to many. You can tell who is "few" & who is "many" in this situation :) thanks for understanding tim! My apologies again, you don't deserve the stupid hate being thrown your way for this."

Angel Locsin declines Phil Younghusband's Valentine's Date invitation on Twitter

A lot of girls for sure are hating Angel Locsin right now!

Philippine Azkals' Phil Younghusband asked "Imortal" lead actress Angel Locsin for a Valentine's date this February 14! Whew! And he said this invitation in the social networking site Twitter where his thousands of 'followers' get to read.


Using @PhilYHusband, Younghusband tweeted to Angel Locsin's Twitter account @143redangel this,

“Hi Angel! This Phil. How are you? I was just wondering if you are free for Valentines day?”

This created quite a stir prompting Angel Locsin to respond to Phil Younghusband's tweet. But unfortunately, Angel has to turn down the invitation. Angel Locsin tweeted,

“hi! this is angel☺ Congrats on your win last night! Tnx for the invite but I have work on valentines.. Let’s try another day☺”

Angel Locsin receives a nomination from an International Award-Giving Body again!

Not so long ago that the beautiful Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin was recognized for her acting prowess by the Emmy's in Hollywood. And once again, the Lobo lead received a nomination from an international award-giving body, this time, the Shorty Awards 2011 (considered as the Oscars of Twitter writers). Angel is nominated in the Best Twitter Celebrity category.

Angel Locsin is competing against various stars from all-over the world including Brazilian singer/songwriter Ivete Sangalo (@ivetesangalo), Canadian actor Nathan Fillion (@NathanFillion), Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte (@ClaudiaLeitte), British actor/writer/director Stephen Fry (@stephenfry), and Canadian actor David Hewlett (@dhewlett).

There is also another Filipino nominated for this year's Shorty Awards. Daniel Razon (@DanielRazon) also made it to the list of nominees in the Best Journalist category.

The 2011 Shorty Awards will be held on March 3, 2011 at the Times Center in the New York Times Building.
