The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s trade deadline goes down today at 1:00 pm AST.
The Saint John Sea Dogs have made three moves so far during the holiday trading period. The team acquired Alexandre Beauregard from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in exchange for a 2011 first round round pick, Jason Seed from the Gatineau Olympiques for a fifth round pick, and Eric Gelinas in exchange for Guillaume Cloutier.
The trade period has been fairly quiet up until yesterday when a flurry of deals were announced. There are still a lot of big name players who could be dealt, making for some interesting storylines today.
All of the official trades can be found HERE.
To help with today’s events, we’ve hooked up the Twitter accounts of several QMJHL reporters, insiders, and followers to this here live blog. Most of the trades find their way onto Twitter long before being official.
Note: There is a bunch of stuff from yesterday getting posted on this thing. Follow with caution.
